Secondary Sources: Treatises

Legal books typically focus on one legal subject.

These books may be a single volume providing an in-depth look at a relatively narrow aspect of law or an overview of a broader area of law. They may also consist of multiple volumes and extensively cover the subject.

Some treatises are updated while others are not.

Print sets may be updated as looseleafs with replacement pages or with a combination of new bound volumes and supplements (pocket parts or separate paper bound supplements).

Updates to electronic resources are integrated in the database.
