Drake Law Library Basics: Equipment

In addition to more standard items like books, study aids in print and AV, feature films & tv shows, and study room keys, the library offers some additional items law students, faculty, and staff can borrow from the Information Desk:

Book Stands	Law faculty, staff, and students may borrow a bookstand for the day from the Information Desk for use anywhere within the law school. Two models available.
Computer Chargers	Courtesy of the SBA, law students, faculty, and staff may borrow a Mac or PC computer charger. Various types are available, including USB-C. Borrow for the day from the Information Desk for use anywhere within the law school.
Phone Chargers	Courtesy of the SBA, law students, faculty, and staff may borrow a USB-powered phone charger, compatible with various models. Borrow for the day from the Information Desk for use anywhere within the law school.
Apple Device Chargers	Courtesy of the SBA, law students, faculty, and staff may borrow a lightning charger or USB-C charger. Borrow for the day from the Information Desk for use anywhere within the law school.
USB C to HDMI Cable	This cable allows Mac users to connect to their computers to the large monitors in the study lounges, Rooms 262 and 263. Law students, faculty, and staff may borrow for the day from the Information Desk.
Calculators	Law faculty, staff and students may borrow a calculator for the day from the Information Desk for use anywhere within the law school.
Fans	Law students, faculty, and staff may borrow a 7" personal fan for the day for use within the library. Ask at the Information Desk.
Dry Erase Boards	Law students, faculty, and staff may borrow a 17" x 23" portable dry erase board for the day for use within the library. Ask at the Information Desk.
Presentation Clickers	Law students, faculty, and staff may borrow a presentation clicker for the day from the Information Desk for use anywhere within the law school.
Easels	Law faculty, staff and students may borrow an easel (sign holder) for one week from the Information Desk.
Foot Rests	Law students, faculty, and staff may borrow a footrest for the day for use within the library. Ask at the Information Desk.
Laptop Locks	Law students may borrow a laptop lock for the day for use within the library. The locks fit laptops with a Kensington security slot. Ask at the Information Desk. Please remember not to leave valuables unattended. Infrequent (but painful) thefts of laptops and text books have occurred in the past.
Gavel	Law faculty, staff and students may borrow the gavel for one week from the Information Desk.
External CD-Rom Drive	Law students, faculty, and staff may borrow the CD-ROM drive for the day for use within the library. Ask at the Information Desk.
Headphones	Library patrons may borrow headphones for the day for use within the library. Ask at the Information Desk.
Tape Recorders	Library patrons may borrow a tape recorder for the day for use within the library. Ask at the Information Desk.

In addition to these circulating items, the library offers additional equipment that can be used in the library.

Microform Reader	A microfilm/microfiche reader is available for patron use in the microform room (Lower Level LL03).
Video Magnifier	This machine allows you to place a document on the tray and magnify it up to 50 times its original size. It is available for patron use on the index tables near the printer copiers (First Floor).
