Study rooms are located on the second and third floors and can be checked out for five hours with your Drake ID at the Information Desk.
As long as rooms are available for other students, you can renew your study room checkout at the Information Desk. Check your key back in at the Information Desk when you are done with the room. Please return or renew your key loan before it is overdue as a courtesy to your fellow students. Read more about study room use.

Group rooms (conference rooms, classrooms, and study lounges) can accommodate more people. Group rooms are kept unlocked, and when not reserved, law students have priority over other library patrons in using these rooms. Group rooms are located on the library's first floor (175, 177), second floor (261, 261A, 262, 263, 267, 268, 269, 282) and in the lower level (LL04, LL15, LL16, and LL19).
Instructions for checking on room reservations and the room use policy are available on the Law Library Room Reservations page.
Study tables are located throughout the library and are available for anyone to use.
The library also contains individual study carrels, which are reserved for the use of a specific law student. Due to the limited number available, typically only 2L and 3L students can reserve carrels. Reserved carrels have a sign with the assigned student's name on it.

The following library rooms have white boards: White boards can also be found outside of LL19 in the Lower Level Lounge. However, since final exams may occur in LL19 and nearby conference rooms LL15 and LL16, students using these spaces must be quiet during exam administration. There are also rolling white boards located throughout the library. All Cartwright classrooms have white boards. On exam days, Cartwright classrooms are available for use after 1 p.m. |
