  1. Click on the NLRB link.
  • Under Cases & Decisions, Click on Administrative Law Judge Decisions
  • In the search box in the middle of the page enter "Bayou Concrete"
  • Click on the "Administrative Law Judges Decision" link under the Bayou Concrete case with the docket number 15-CA-)177734 and answer the following:
  1. Who was the Administrative Law Judge who decided the case?
  2. Who initiated the case?
  3. What was his occupation?
  4. What is the underlying basis for the complaint against Bayou Concrete?
  5. How did the ALJ rule?
  1. Click on the OSHRC link. This is a federal agency that decides contests of citations or penalties resulting from OSHA inspections in the workplace.
  • Try using the search box, inputting "blue ridge erectors" as your search term. If this does not work, follow this path instead:
    • Click on the Decisions tab.
    • Under Final Administrative Law Judges (ALJ) Decisions pick 2006
  • Open the PDF of Blue Ridge Erectors, Inc. and use it to answer the following questions:
  1. Who was the Administrative Law Judge who decided the case?
  2. State the violations of worker safety as alleged in Citation 1.
  3. State the violations of worker safety as alleged in Citation 1, Item 3.
  4. How did the ALJ rule on the various violations?.
